Soup ‘n Sip Sundays, Nov. 27 and Dec. 4

Getting ready for the holidays at Blue Ridge Vineyard….maybe we won’t have snow, but we’ll have plenty of freshly made soups, breads, and our mulled wine to warm your heart!  Hope to see you Sundays, November 27 and December 4, 1-5 p.m.

Robyn Dobyns and Marian McConnell are the featured musicians on Sunday, November 27, and Raw Sugar is sure to sweeten you up on Sunday, December 4 with their music!

We appreciate your gift of doggie biscuits, treats, canned or dry dog food, dog toys, etc. for the All-American Mutt Rescue Christmas tree.  (they save hundreds of “last chance” dogs yearly).  Let’s fill up the basket with goodies for the pups!

Lots has happened since we welcomed Gubernatorial Candidate Bob McDonnell to Blue Ridge Vineyard ——— Now, Governor McDonnell is a great supporter of small farm wineries in Virginia. A big thanks to Governor McDonnell for helping to put Virginia wine on the map.

Pickin’, grinnin’, crushin’, pressin’, it’s crunch time!

Pressing the grapes, and into the tank after fermenting the Pinot Noir

Bucketing the Pinot Noir into the press–gentlest method

Oops!  My Droid X fell into the must– must be a great phone to survive all this punishment!

Thanks to all who helped (and others not pictured).  We finally finished the bonanza 2011 harvest.  And thanks to all the Marmorated Stinkbugs who found other homes away from our grapes!!! No stinkbugs at all in our grapes!  Looking forward to a great vintage.
