SOLREVOLT has been playing together since May 2007. Various members had been together since 2004; These members were involved in a variety band playing in and around the Roanoke area. In an effort to pursue their musical passions, members of the former entity separated and began performing as Solrevolt. This group of musicians’ specialty is a fusion of rock, blues and jazz. The band continues to establish itself in the area, as well as contributes its time to national and local charities. Seeing and hearing Solrevolt live is an enjoyable experience with its twin guitars, bass, drums and keyboardist. The vocal work is strongly influenced by the blues genre, making the vocal mix full of variation and flavor. Solrevolt truly is something you must experience in person.
Heavily influenced by blues/rock fusion bands such as the Allman Brothers Band, the Grateful Dead, and blues artists such as Clapton, B.B. King, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, among many others, Solrevolt brings a fresh approach to the genre. Live performances with artfully-crafted improvisational jams are the band’s first love. Solrevolt approaches their music and their performances in a way somewhat forgotten in the digital age. SOLREVOLT is a six-man line-up whose passions include classic rock, blues, and a hint of jazz.
